How to do when baby sweat?

Sweating is a natural and common response that an infant will have when her environment is too warm. The body sweats to allow your baby to cool herself or to regulate her body temperature. Sometimes, riding in a car seat, being bundled in blankets or wearing warm clothing can make your baby too hot and she will sweat. Expect your baby to sweat on warmer days, even when she is only wearing a diaper.

Whether running around or playing out in the sun, your little one will be sweat-free with baby sweat pad. Made out of 100% cotton, these pads absorbs sweat and dries quickly. They can be used on either babies or toddlers.

    Usage:
    1. Place at baby's back inside undershirt, for sweat absorption purpose
    2. After 2 – 3 hours, change the sweat pad if it is wet

How to maintain the oral hygiene for baby?

Whether you are breastfeeding or using formula, you should cleanse your infant's mouth after each feeding and "spit up," and for sure at least twice a day. This is to prevent odor, tooth decay or even fungal infection. It is good to develop a habit to drink a few mouthfuls of water after feed to remove remaining milk in the mouth. To cleanse an infant's mouth, wrap a link-free cotton wipe around your index finger, dampen with water, then wipe the gums, tongue and the inside of the cheeks. As the infant develops, you will be able to swab more area in the mouth. The infant will become accustomed to having mouth cleaned and will establish a routine of oral hygiene.

    How to clean baby's nose?

Babies commonly have clogged noses, but you should never put a q-tip in baby’s nose. They will expel dried nasal particles on their own through sneezing. Dry & hard booger could be helped with saline mist. It could moisten the dry boogers, and the use the aspirator. A great time to do that is right after a nice warm bath because all that moisture helps lubricate things

    How to clean baby's eyes?

Infants can only see objects 20-30cm in front of their faces. Extra attention should be paid to avoid foreign invasion, especially when bathing.

There may be a small amount of secretion for some of the newborn's eye, which is normal. But if you find yellow-green discharge, it is probably infected with conjunctivitis, you must seek for medical treatment as soon as possible.

For daily cleaning, dip a lint-free cleaning cotton into warm water and squeeze it to remove any excess water, sing or talk to the baby while cleaning to distract his/her attention. Use the cleaning cotton to clean the corners of your baby's eyes, wiping gently from the inside corner to the outside edge of each eye. Use a different or another corner of the cleaning cotton for each eye to avoid potential cross-infection.

    How to clean baby's ear?

Cover baby's ear well when washing their hair to prevent water flow into ear and cause infection. If abnormal discharge or smell are found, seek for medical treatment immediately.

For daily cleaning, dampen a gauze towel to wipe the outer ear. If small amount of bath water goes into baby's ear, use a safety bud to wipe around the ear canal, never insert a cotton bud or anything else into baby's ear canal.
Earwax is a natural substance which helps to trap dirt, dust, and other particles that could damage his eardrum. It will be expelled naturally. Consult a doctor if there's excess ear wax.

How to care your baby's umbilical cord?

After a baby is born, the umbilical cord is clamped and cut close to the body, leaving an umbilical stump. In about 10 to 21 days, the stump will dry up and drop off, leaving a small wound that may take a few days to heal.

The stump must be kept clean and dry. Fold the baby's diaper below the stump so it's exposed to the air and not to urine. Avoid giving your baby tub baths until the stump falls off. Clean around your baby's belly button area at least once each day or more often if his cord looks sticky or moist. Use a Q-tip that has been dipped in cooled, boiled water, then dry the area using a dry Q-tip.
